About the University
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) was created by the U.T. System Board of Regents and supported by the Texas Legislature in 1972. Located in the world renowned Texas Medical Center, UTHealth brings together the Dental Branch, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Medical School, the School of Public Health, the School of Nursing, the School of Biomedical Informatics, the UT Harris County Psychiatric Center, and the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases. UTHealth pursues its mission through a comprehensive approach to health.
