Congressman Gene Green Visits IMM

During a recent tour of The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases (IMM), Rep. Gene Green (D-Texas), left, discusses stem cell research with Eva Zsigmond, Ph.D., far right, assistant professor and associate director of the Laboratory for Developmental Biology at the IMM. A native Houstonian, Green is vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Health of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, a member of the Health and Medicare Task Force and affiliated with the Biomedical Research Caucus. Green represents the 29th Congressional District, which contains the Port of Houston and parts of the cities of Houston, Pasadena, Baytown and Humble.
